However, it's crucial to never use Crescent cutters on energized circuits, wire, or cable to ensure safety. (48HRC), material examples included hardened chain, padlocks, rebar, and guy wire • Bolt cutters in general perform material "separation" through a "pinch" rather than a true "cut", so the softer the material, the more likely you will experience the material "pinching", to combat this, we do recommend that you line the material up all the way to the fulcrum of the jaws and make sure you are adjusting the top points so that the blades come together • Never use any H.K. porter cutters on energized circuits, wire, or cable
